The Lakeside

Cassie nods and gives a small smile, as she ruffles his hair, "So what about you squirt?" {Don't forget she is 16}

Emma sat down by the lakeside with Alice.

(And she had also admitted to having feelings for him.)

Chris started to fix his hair. "Stop that." He said, chuckling. "I've been fine. Been out there trying to meet new people because I'm trying to make my time here as enjoyable as possible." He paused. "But I don't know if that's the right way of going about things. I've been thinking and I think I'm going about this whole social thing all wrong."

{It was more like a family love she was feeling.}
Cassie looks at him, "Oh? How so?"

(Hannah could you reply to long island sound)

(She told Max it was a crush. Or so she thought. I guess she's always had trouble with emotions... God, even your complexities make sense :p)

"I don't know. Maybe it's more of an emotions thing. But I get attached too easily." Chris said. "I need to learn who people are before I grow attached."

{Have to keep them guessing otherwise where is the fun? ;p}
Cassie nods, "Man I would love to have your problem. At least most people like you. For me most it is just so that I don't turn them into something and then...there is you and Chewy. The few fools who seem to like hanging out with me." She says shaking her head, "Why you do still baffles me."

Chris chuckles. "You're a character." He said with a shrug. "You're fun and interesting to have around." He sighs. He wanted to tell her more but he knew he couldn't and shouldn't.

Cassie gives him a look, "I don't get what you find so funny, and if you think I'm fun to hang around, then you were probably dropped as baby, cause no one in their right  mind would think that, or so I'm told."

"If you're being told no one would like to hang out with you, I'd like to introduce that jerk to my fist, because that's completely untrue." Chris said. "You obviously care about me, and I care about you. Isn't that what a friendship is at its core?" He asked.

Cassie gives a small smile as she ruffles his hair, "I guess so, squirt. Though I think of you more like another brother, though there is no replacing M. If I did he would hunt me down for eternity, and I would never hear the end of it. Which is why I need to find him."

Chris smiled and fixed his hair again. He was quite obviously never going to be able to date this girl but he supposed what they had was okay. At least for him... Maybe. "Is there any way I can help?" Chris asked.

Cassie sighs and shakes her head, "I don't think so. M is very good at hiding and wont be found until he want to be. But he also forgets how stubborn I am as well, but I think he want me to find him on my own. I just hope he better have a good reason for this, or I'll be making him a reservation in the underworld myself."

Chris smiled. "So you essentially just have to wait until he decides to show back up?" Chris asked.

Cassie frowns, "What? No. I'm going out of the camp to look for him. I'll leave tomorrow."

"But if he won't be found until he wants to be, is there a reason for looking?" Chris asked. "You know what, never mind that. Do you know how long you'll be gone?"

Cassie looked like she was going to turn him into a bug and step on him, but instead replied, "Until I find him. However long that will take."

"Well, then, I wish you luck until you find him." Chris said, opening his arms for a hug.

Cassie just sticks out her hand for a hand shake.

Chris wrapped his arms around her, hugging her anyway. "I'm gonna miss you." He said sadly.

Cassie pats him on the back signaling that he can let go, "Yeah, well, its kind of hard not to miss you too I guess."

Chris wasn't sure if that was an insult or a compliment. He feigned a smile.

Cassie then gets up the kisses him on the cheek, "Do me a favor, and reek some havoc on this place while I'm gone." She says with a smile as she gets up and makes her way to her cabin to pack.

"Why wouldn't I?" Chris said with a playful wink as she left. He put his hand on the cheek she kissed after she had left. He wanted so badly to kiss her and he supposed that was, at the very least, a step in the right direction.

Brae walked down to the lake and looked behind her to see if Andrew had followed.
