The Infirmary

(Concussion)

Talia's eyes opened. "John!" she cried out.

Allie nodded at Astra. "Concussion," she said, before making her way over to Talia, sitting down heavily in the chair. "Hey," she said quietly, her skin as pale as her voice was quiet, the meagre sunlight filtering through the clouds not boosting her any.

Talia didn't seem to hear Allie as she started sob. "John!" she said.

Daniel sighed of relief when he heard Talia's voice. He was still worried for his girlfriend but at least she was alive.

Allie looked for one of the Hunters. Astra nodded at her and exited, soon returning with a twitchy John, who tentatively sat in a chair as a curtain was drawn around the cot. He reached out cautiously and touched her cheek with his right hand and Allie smiled faintly before standing and swaying over to Dom.

Talia instantly relaxed when she saw her brother. 

Dom looked up, standing up. He took Allie's hand to steady her.

Daniel smiled when he saw that Talia was calm. He stayed back because he wasn't sure if he was allowed.

"H-hey, Tali-bird," John whispered. "H-how are you feeling?"
Allie took his hand gratefully, but gestured for him to sit down with her. "What hurts? And don't lie, I saw you wince," she said as sternly as possible, though it just came out weak.

Ethan returned with a cookie and some orange juice and he handed it to Brae. "Here. The sugar will help."

Andrew sat down in a chair.

"It hurts John..." she whimpered. 

"Just my ribs. I probably just bruised them." Dom said shrugging a bit. "You need to sit too. Don't make me make you sit on my lap."

Brae nodded and took the cookie and juice. "Thanks."

Ethan nodded.

Daniel was about to cry as he watched his girlfriend suffer through this.

"Shh," John soothed. "Would you like some ambrosia?" he offered.

Talia nodded, tears forming in her eyes.

"Shh, you're doing so good," he murmured, holding a piece to her lips.

She ate it slowly.

"Sitting in your lap is not professional," Allie mumbled, swaying slightly.
John watched his sister carefully.

"You're swaying, Allie. I don't think anyone will care, and I'll feel a lot better knowing that you're safe in my lap. Please." he said. 

"John..." Talia whimpered again.

"Mm," Allie mumbled, acquiescing.
"Shhh," John murmured, shifting his chair to sit at her head. M

Dom sat down and pulled her onto his lap. 

"Don't let Daniel see me. Please.." she whispered.

Allie leaned into him, head resting on his shoulder.
"I won't," John nodded.

He stroked her arm softly. "Just rest."

She continued to cry.

Allie nodded tiredly, drifting.
John held her hand and soothed her as best he could.

He held her gently, hoping she would rest up. 

"Thank you John." she whispered.

"Thank you," Allie murmured quietly.

"No problem, Tali-bird," he returned quietly, kissing her knuckles.
