Personality: Effie is a sweet, bubbly, fun-loving girl. She always sees the best in people, and easily makes friends. She is very loyal and dependable, and always strives to be honest. That being said, her upbringing is something she's very ashamed of and likes to hide from others. She is known to become almost a completely different person when talking about her past.

Backstory: Effie grew up in Budapest, Hungary. Her mother died in labor, and Effie was sent to an orphanage. Growing up in the orphanage, she faced multiple forms of abuse. When she was five, she was moved to a different orphanage by the police, and she lived there until she was nine. Then she ran away to live on the streets, before a older man from the US came to Budapest and saw this young orphan living on the street. So he adopted her and brought her back to the US with him, she was 11. Effie at first felt safe but as the man got older, she realized he was going to die soon and she would be alone. That's when Poseidon claimed her. the man spent he few remaining months researching about demigods until he finally turned to a friend, who revealed himself as a demigod, and the friend informed the old man of the camp. So the old man made his friend promise to take Effie there when his time was up. Despite her horrible background, Effie learned to see the best in people, thanks to the old man. When he finally passed away, a few days after Effie's 13th birthday, the friend kept his promise took her to camp, where she has been living for the past two years.
