The Trees

Alec sat down to watch.

Then the inner flame emerges and joins the ring once more. Hadley's eyes glow silver again and she starts to float progressively getting higher and higher into the air.

Alec watched avidly.

Then the shadows from the ground, were seemingly pulled right up to Hadley and were vertically spinning around her.

Alec winced, feeling a little motion-sick.

Then suddenly each of the elements freazee, and then separate while still in the air.

Alec closed his eyes.

The shadows return to the ground, Hadley floats back down, her inner flame returns to her, the rocks return to the earth, the wind puts the water back in the ground and the wind returns to the skies as Hadley's eyes re turn to their normal state. She frowns, "Still no further than before." She sighs in frustraition.

"How do you mean?" Alec asked.

Hadley sighs, " I can't seem to get past the shadow control. I've only once ever been able to to visit the spirt realm, but I wasn't in conrol. Now that I am Icant seem to get past shadow minipulation." She says in frustraition, " Although I haven't tried it useing my wand yet."

"Why is it any different from manipulating other stuff?" Alec inquired, genuinely interested.

"Well unlike the other elements that are always arround, shadows only apear when light hits a solid object, at a specific time of day, so its a less constant element, and can be quite finickky because of this. Plus, the power of show minpulation is only alowed so far. Then you are getting more on Hades 's domain. But in order to be able to have acess to the spirit realm I have to be able to control both light and shdow togeather along with the other elements to allow passage, to visit the spirit realm." She says in frustraition, "Why do you care anyway?"

Alec shrugged. "It's interesting, you're interesting, and I want to help. If I can control the light," he clicked his fingers and summoned a small flame. "You can get the shadows, right?"

Hadley shakes her head, "Thanks for the help but it doesn't work that way. The shadows have to come from the natural light of the sun, and only the sun. I just need to time it correctly and keep at it." she says then sees Leo, "You're acctually ok kid. Hope to see you arround. She says and runs off to join Leo, "Hey. " she says to him giveing him a kiss.

Alec let the flame peter out, glaring after her.

Meeka walked through the trees by herself.

Hadley walks in an sits under a tree and starts her meditation.

Athea sat high up in a tree, humming a tune.

A harmony joined in from above as Astra joined in.

Athea looked up and smiled, continuing to hum.

A small flute joined the two as Alianovna joined them from a different tree.

Athea continued to hum through the song.

The two hunters descended to perch nearer to Athea, silver tops and leggings blending with the bark of the trees.

A smile stretched across her lips as she looked at her fellow hunters.

The others smiled in return, enjoying their song.
