Mess Hall for Eating

Carlos sat down at a table reading.

Hannah saw Carlos and walked over, after giving half of her meal to the offering fire, "Hey. Mind if I join you?" She asked holding up her own book with a smile.

Logan sat down in the mess hall with a drink and his guitar. He decided not to bother the other two. He just played whatever his heart desired. He began playing and sang along to "Everybody Talks" by Neon Trees:

All you're giving me is fiction
I'm a sorry sucker and this happens all the time

Carlos shrugged "sure."

Hannah heard someone sing 'Everybody Talks' and she started to sing quietly too as she sat down and opened her book. She couldn't help it. "...It started with a whisper
And that was when I kissed her
And then she made my lips hurt
I could hear the chit chat

Mamas always gotta back track
When everybody talks back..."

Logan sang the refrain and went into the 2nd verse.

"Hey honey you could be my drug
You could be my new prescription
Too much could be an overdose
All this trash talk make me itchin'

(There's no point in posting the refrain twice haha.)

Jake walked in with his black eye and grabbed some food. He heard a guy playing guitar and sat down across from him. "You play really well." he said.

Hannah sings the refrain while she listens to them talk. She wanted to go say hi, but didn't want to be rude to Carlos.

Logan looked up. "Thanks..." He paused. "Umm, what happened to your eye."

Carlos looked over up from his book "If you want to go talk to the others just go."

Hannah shook her head, "No. It wouldn't be fair to you. I had asked to sit here, so this is where I'll be. Besides, I'll probably see them around camp some other time. Just let me know if my humming bothers you." She said, giving him a small smile, "What book are you reading?"

Logan finished the song and looked around, seeing only the two people off at another table and Jake across from him.

"I got punched in the eye." Jake said with a smile.

"Oh." Logan said.

"I guess I stole a guy's girl without even realizing it." Jake said.

"Hm?" Logan asked raising an eyebrow.

"I like this girl, and I'm almost completely sure that she likes me. But it turns out this other guy has been in love with her for a long time. So when he found out that she likes me, he punched me." Jake said.

Hannah looks at him for a second, "Hold that thought." She says as she puts down her book and skips over to where the other boys were, "Hi sorry but I just wanted to say that I love the song that you played. I'm Hannah Garret from the Apollo Cabin by the way. Well, it was nice meeting you both." She say with a cheerful smile as she skips back to her seat with out waiting for a reply from them. "I'm really, sorry. I couldn't help myself. But I'm all ears now." She says to Carlos with her beaming smile, as she waits for him to respond.

Logan smiled at the girl who had walked over to their table and watched as she walked away. He just chuckled. "Is it perhaps Justin you were talking to?" Logan asked Jake.

Jake smiled at the girl as well before nodding at Logan.

"Yeah. He's had a helpless crush on Emma for a while... She just hasn't ever felt the same way." Logan said.

Jake nodded. "Everything is starting to make sense.

Logan nodded. "I feel bad for the guy. I hope he finds someone. He's a good guy... He just lets his emotions take over sometimes."

"Yeah. I figured that out the hard way." Jake said, gesturing to his own eye.

Amy walked in with malory and macy and sat down
