The Waterfall

Cassie shook, her head, " No, that's ok. I should get going anyway."

Chris nodded. "I probably should to, but if you need me, you know where to find me." He gave her a smile and headed toward his cabin.

Cassie sighs and heads to her cabin.

Emma and Alice sat by the waterfall talking.

Landry had the crown Lila had given her on her head. She was sitting by a tree at the waterfall, listening to the water crash to the bottom and just trying to release her mind. She thought of what that girl had said when she first arrived about her being nothing special. What did she mean?

Miles stood by the water practicing his powers and making pillars of earth rise from the ground.

Landry walked over to the boy. "Hi there." She said to him.

Miles looked over at the girl and let the pillars drop back into the ground "Hi."

"I'm Landry Henderson, daughter of Aglaia."

"Miles Night, son of Hades" he said flatly.

"Nice to meet you." She said.

"yeah, did you want something" Miles asked.

"No, not really." Landry said with a shrug. She adjusted her crown. "Why do you seem so apathetic?"

"I'm not a big fan of people I find most of them either fake or annoying" Miles answered honestly.

"Well, maybe you should open up because some people (like yours truly) are actually good people." Landry said.

Miles shrugged "maybe" he said not really believing her.

"You're missing out." Landry said. She turned around and walked off.

"sure, prove it" Miles rolled his eyes.

"You'll figure out in due time." She said as she was leaving.

Miles wondered for a second what she meant by that but then went back to practicing.

Justin watched the water fall to the river below as he let his mind wander.

Dawn smiles and walks over behind him covering his eyes, " Guess who?"

"My beautiful girlfriend?" Justin asked being snapped out of his gaze.

Dawn smiles and kisses him on the cheek, "Sorry was I interrupting something?"

"No. Just... thinking." Justin said.
