The Waterfall

Arriving near the basin, I begin to take off my shirt and shoes. Even though it was just a formality since I could keep myself dry if I wanted to, it was nice to just be in the water. I'd changed into a bathing suit back in my cabin, and told Lilith I'd meet her here. Better not get in just yet, not without her at least. It was nice just to sit here in the damp grass and listen to the sound of the falls. For some reason, this place had always attracted me, moreso than the lake. Maybe because it reminded me of home, in Puerto Rico. El Yunque was full of waterfalls, some big and some small, and caves too. It felt, in part, like I was back home, if I just closed my eyes.

Ryan walked along the waterfall humming softly to herself

~Lilith~
I trek through the forest, wearing an short, lacy black coverup over my bikini. I could hear the sounds of the waterfall as I grow nearer to it, the sounds bringing back a multitude of pleasant memories, most of which with were Xavier.

"Isn't today the 4th or something?" I say, taking a set next to him on the damp grass and kissing him on the cheek. I tug off my shoes, dipping my toes into the cool water.

~Xavier
"Yeah," I reply simply, waking myself from my reverie. "But we still have a bit more time until the fireworks start at the beach, and we're already dressed for the occasion," I laugh. Walking into the water, I turn around to face Lilith while adjusting the temperature of the water until it was just right.

"Coming in?"

~Lilith~
"Of course," I say, pulling off my cover up and slipping into the water. One of the perks of dating a Poseidon kid is that you'll probably never have to worry about a cold swim, or shower for that matter. I twist my long hair into a ponytail, avoiding the prospect of brushing it out later. That's never fun.

"Do you like fireworks?" I say, looking at him thoughtfully.

Amber walked around missing James

~Xavier
"Yeah, they're nice. Maybe a waste of money, but they look cool," I say as I move closer to the waterfall, wanting to sit under it and feel the roaring water beating against my skin.

~Lilith~
"It looks like they started," I say, my gaze trained onto the sky. I can hear the loud boom of the fireworks as well as see a faint glow from the tips of the trees.

I float onto my back, closing my eyes and listening to the sound of the water combined with the sporadic crash of the fireworks. It was a nice combination, weirdly enough.

~Xavier
"Wanna head over, or would you rather stay here?" I ask, shouting to be heard over the sound of the falls.

~Lilith~
"I guess we should head over!" I shout back, climbing out of the water and drying myself off the best I could.

"A little help?" I say, referring to his magic ability to make things dry, like they're warm and fresh out of the dryer. Another perk of dating a Poseidon kid.

I make it to the grass and snap my fingers once I'm focused, the water evaporating off of her instantly.

Wrapping my arm around her waist, I slowly lead her through the woods, which were usually dark and scary at night. However, with the fireworks, they were lit up in tons of different colors.

Juliette sat near the waterfall, hoping Jonathan had gotten her note.

Ridi walked along the water and saw Julietta, "Hey."

"Oh! Hello!" Julietta said.

Ridi smiled, "Hey do you know whre Lorenzo is."

Julietta shook her head no. "Last time I saw him he was at our cabin." she said.

"Juliet?" Jonathan asked quietly.

Juliette said a quick goodbye to Ridi and turned, looking for Jonathan. "Romeo?" she whispered back, turning around again and walking backwards behind some rocks.

"Where are you?" He asked.

She heard his voice and turned around. "Follow my voice."

Jonathan started walking with the sound of her voice leading him.

She walked as well and then she saw him. A smile appeared on her face and she rushed to him, hugging him.

Jonathan hugged her back, immediately pulling her in for a kiss.

She kissed him back briefly but then pulled away and lead him to behind the rocks. She kissed him again.

Jonathan kissed back happily, wrapping his arms around her waist.
